1. Who we are
Cyber Nate is operated by Nathaniel T.O, Lagos, Nigeria. Contact: info@cybernate.ng. We are committed to protecting your personal data in accordance with the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 (NDPA) and the NDPC General Application and Implementation Directive (GAID) 2025.
2. What data we collect
Website enquiries: name, email address, phone number, and the content of your message, submitted via our contact form. RankUp platform: name, email, agency/rank, exam performance data, and payment records (processed by Paystack — we do not store card details). Academy enrolments: name, email, course completed, certificate records. Intelligence/community: email addresses if you subscribe; WhatsApp participation is governed by WhatsApp's own privacy terms. We do not collect data from visitors who simply browse the website without submitting any form.
3. How we use your data
To respond to enquiries and deliver services you have requested. To issue and manage Academy certificates. To operate the RankUp platform and process exam preparation subscriptions. To send relevant updates you have opted into. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.
4. Legal basis for processing
We process your data on the following legal bases under the NDPA 2023: (a) Contract performance — where processing is necessary to deliver a service you have requested; (b) Legitimate interests — where we have a legitimate business interest, such as responding to enquiries; (c) Consent — where you have explicitly opted in, such as joining our community mailing list.
5. Data retention
Enquiry data is retained for 24 months. Client project records are retained for 5 years for legal and audit purposes. RankUp platform data is retained for the duration of your subscription and 12 months thereafter. Academy certificate records are retained indefinitely to support future verification requests. You may request deletion of your data at any time (see Section 7).
6. Third-party services
Paystack (payment processing for RankUp subscriptions). Formspree (contact form submissions — forms are routed through Formspree's servers). Netlify/Vercel (website and platform hosting). WhatsApp (community platform — governed by WhatsApp's Privacy Policy). We do not use Google Analytics or any advertising trackers on our website.
7. Your rights under the NDPA 2023
You have the right to: access the personal data we hold about you; request correction of inaccurate data; request deletion of your data (subject to legal retention requirements); withdraw consent where processing is based on consent; lodge a complaint with the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC) if you believe your rights have been violated. 8. Security
We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data — including encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls, and secure storage. RankUp payment data is processed by Paystack with server-side HMAC-SHA512 verification. We never store raw card data.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy to reflect changes in our services or applicable law. The date at the top of this page reflects the last update. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance.
