Terms & Conditions

Last updated: July 2026

These terms govern your use of Cyber Nate's website, platforms, and services.

1. About these terms

These Terms and Conditions govern your use of cybernate.ng and any Cyber Nate platforms, including RankUp (rankupdea.netlify.app) and the Cyber Nate Academy. By accessing or using any Cyber Nate service, you agree to these terms. Cyber Nate is operated by Nathaniel T.O, trading as Cyber Nate, Lagos, Nigeria.

2. Services

Cyber Nate provides cybersecurity consulting, vulnerability assessment and penetration testing, software development, IT support, hardware procurement, digital training, and related technology services. Specific scope, deliverables, timelines, and pricing for each engagement are agreed in writing before work commences.

3. Payment

Standard payment terms are 50% upfront and 50% on delivery unless otherwise agreed in writing. For milestone-based projects, payment schedules are defined in the project proposal. Accepted payment methods: bank transfer (NGN), Paystack, and SWIFT transfer for international clients. All fees are non-refundable once work has commenced unless otherwise specified in a written agreement.

4. Intellectual property

Work products delivered to clients become the property of the client upon full payment, unless otherwise agreed. RankUp, Skolia, the Cyber Nate PDF Suite, the FGLEA Nominal Roll System, and all other platforms built and owned by Cyber Nate remain the intellectual property of Cyber Nate unless an explicit written IP transfer agreement exists. All Cyber Nate Academy course content, Intelligence publications, and research reports remain the property of Cyber Nate.

5. Confidentiality

Cyber Nate treats all client information, system details, and data shared during engagements as confidential. We do not share, publish, or disclose client-specific information without explicit written consent. Clients are expected to keep our proprietary methodologies, tools, and unreleased product details confidential.

6. Cybersecurity engagements

All penetration testing, VAPT, and security assessment work is performed exclusively with explicit written authorisation from the client. Cyber Nate operates within the scope defined in the engagement agreement and complies with applicable Nigerian law, including the Cybercrimes (Prohibition, Prevention, Etc.) Act 2015.

7. Limitation of liability

Cyber Nate's liability for any engagement is limited to the fees paid for that specific engagement. We are not liable for indirect losses, business interruption, or consequential damages. Security recommendations are provided in good faith based on conditions at the time of assessment — the security landscape may change after delivery.

8. Platform terms (RankUp)

RankUp is provided for legitimate exam preparation by authorised officers of participating Nigerian government agencies. Users may not share account credentials, redistribute platform content, or use the platform for any purpose other than personal exam preparation. RankUp subscription fees are non-refundable. Agency partnership terms are agreed separately.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any disputes shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation first. If unresolved, disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of Nigerian courts.

10. Changes to these terms

Cyber Nate may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via our website. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
